Well, that was a great weekend!
Over 1,000 young musicians performed across the sections in a fantastic day of youth brass banding at King Edward School in Birmingham in the Youth Champs 2026, organised by the brilliant team at Brass Bands England .
As always, the standard across all the sections was inspiring. Such a joyful day for all the youth bands competing from across the UK.
We were delighted to once again find favour with the adjudicators and come away with the Yamaha Championship Section title.
Now, we are straight into rehearsals for the European Youth Brass Band contest in Linz, Austria in a few weeks time.

As always in youth banding, players move on into employment or higher education so we're always on the look out for new players in all sections and aged from 8 upwards. There are no formal entry auditions to join Youth Brass 2000 so why not come along to our Sunday rehearsals or follow the link for more information.
