Dear parents, carers, and members of our local community,

We would like to warmly invite you to the 1st Woodford Scouts Annual General Meeting on Thursday 4th June 2026 at 19:30. This is a great opportunity to hear about what our young people have achieved over the past year, learn about our plans for the future, and meet the team who help make it all happen.

As part of our AGM, we are also looking to expand our team of volunteers and trustees, including recruiting for the important role of Treasurer. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there are many ways to get involved and support Scouting in Woodford. No previous experience is required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to help young people thrive.

1st Woodford Scout Group.

At 1st Woodford Scout Group, our membership is growing. To offer more places to local children, we are looking for adult volunteers in all of our sections.

Meeting times and age groups:

Beavers (ages 6–8): Thursday, 6:15pm – 7:30pm
Cubs (ages 8–10.5): Monday, 6:30pm – 7:45pm
Scouts (ages 10–14): Friday, 7pm – 9:00pm

All sections meet at the scout hut in Bakers Lane.

To continue welcoming more young people, we need volunteers to support these sections. Volunteering is flexible—you can help every week, once a month, or on an occasional basis to suit your availability.

We are looking for volunteers to help run our youngest section Beaver scouts. You will help the Beavers in having fun and learning in a fun way, together with sleepovers/camps & events.
