To our amazing community ❤️

We wanted to be open and honest with you about our Low Cost Kitchen and our free school holiday lunches.

For the past few years, we’ve been incredibly proud to provide free lunches for local children during the summer holidays. This has only been possible thanks to the amazing support of our community, our fundraising nights, and grants from the local council.

Sadly, this year we were unsuccessful in our council grant application, which covered a significant part of the cost of providing these meals.

We also tried to raise the funds ourselves through our weekly Low Cost Kitchen nights and Just Eat deliveries. Unfortunately, these didn’t generate enough income, and we actually spent more on food than we made.

With great sadness, this means we won’t be able to provide our free school holiday lunches this summer. 💔

This is not the news we wanted to share, and we’re truly heartbroken, knowing how much these meals have meant to local families.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years — whether you’ve bought a meal, donated, shared our posts, or simply encouraged us. Every bit of support has made a difference. ❤️

We’re not giving up. We’ll be looking at new ways to raise funds and make the project sustainable, so hopefully we can return stronger in the future.
