35th Huddersfield Lepton Scout Group The 35th Huddersfield (Lepton) Scout group has been in existence since 1964.

We currently have Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts meeting weekly at our Scout Hut in the centre of Lepton.

Better late than never!

The Beavers attended the County's Beaver Pirate Camp last weekend at Blackhills-Campsite.

The Beavers had a fantastic time den building, cooking on fires, scavenger hunts, archery and axe throwing, slack lining, night lining and lot of other fun things. The camp ended with with a camp fire and magic show!

A big thanks to the organisers of the camp and also to the leaders that enable the young people to have these opportunities.

The Explorers had two visitors from Kirklees Council tonight to help them understand a bit more about local democracy.

It was a very informative evening and hopefully they came away with a bit more understanding of how they could potentially influence local decisions.

We even talked about the possibility of setting up an Explorer Council that could feed the views of the young people in the group to the leaders.
