Start
There is no official start point; you can meet wherever you like. The suggested start time is 08:30. Teams must be in full uniform and stay together for the duration of the event.

Scoutopoly Board
The game board will be issued by Event Control to the Leader’s email address from whom the team(s) were registered at 08:00 on the morning of the event.

Travel
You will travel around the area covered here. Travel cards/tickets are not provided.
We recommend purchasing a Metro DaySaver that covers your team, but you may choose alternative options.
Remember all travel should be on public transport, and that your team(s) are representing the Scouts when doing so.

Team ID
Each team has been assigned a reference number : SO22
Your team reference number should be used in all contact with Event Control throughout the event. Teams must create a WhatsApp group with their reference number as the group name and invite Event Control as a member on the morning of the event.

Evidence
Photos submitted as evidence must be done via the WhatsApp group (above).
All Young People in the team must be in the photos submitted for points to be allocated.
Don’t forget to also include the unique item in every team photo – details in 08:00 email.

Equipment / Kit
Teams must be equipped with a first aid kit, minimum of two mobile phones (fully charged or with powerbank).
All participants will need appropriate clothing for the weather, waterproofs etc, a packed lunch & drink or a means of purchasing these.

Safety / Emergencies
For Explorer / Network teams, they must be issued with an emergency contact number for the Leader registering the team(s) who will hold medical and contact information for members of those teams.
In the event of an emergency, normal Scout reporting procedures apply.
Please inform Event Control of any incidents on the day of the event along with any contact with emergency services.

Finish
This year’s finish point is 2nd Colne Valley Scout Group, Pickford Street, Milnsbridge, Huddersfield, HD3 4LH.
Due to the popularity of the event, we are operating a staggered finish for Scout and Explorer Teams.
Scouts will finish at 16:30 and Explorers at 17:30.
Scouts sharing lifts with Explorers do not have to leave at 16:30.

Please can we all encourage parents to car share where possible and park on Manchester Road when collecting.
Where possible we suggest teams use their travel cards/tickets which they have purchased for the event, to travel back to Huddersfield Town Centre as a team and be collected from there. Bus stop from the finish is a 1 minute walk.
Leaders Parking – For those planning to leave cars at the finish point, please park considerately with local residents in mind.

Team ID
Your team reference number is SO22.
