A reminder that the remembrance parade is this Sunday. It is a mandatory event in cadet life. All cadets are to meet staff at the unit between 9:15am and 9:30am so we can assess and see if we need to issue foul weather jackets.

The service will take place at the parish church just down from McDonalds in Huddersfield Town Centre

Good morning all,

The remembrance parade is this Sunday. This is a mandatory event requiring the maximum attendance. Due to the potential for poor weather, please could all cadets meet at the unit between 9:15am and 9:30am so that we can issue foul weather jackets if necessary.

For those who didn’t get to see the parade in London this year, here is a decent video of the day. For our cadets who attended, this has been a challenging experience, with training beginning almost from the instant they stepped off the coach. They have endured long hours of training, with the results being clear to see here and in the comments of various senior officers in attendance such as Captain Neil Downing, Captain Sea Cadets, and inspecting Officer on the day, Vice-Admiral Tony Radakin, who has just stepped down as Chief of Defence Staff this September, who both congratulated the parade on displaying the highest of standards.

Our cadets really stepped up throughout, displaying an impressive level of knowledge, discipline and integrity throughout the whole experience, smiling in the face of adversity and they have done themselves and the unit proud.

⚓ Trafalgar Day Parade – Bradford, 25th October 2025 ⚓

TS Aurora Bradford Sea and Royal Marines Cadets are honoured to host the Trafalgar Day Parade on Saturday, 25th October 2025.

This annual event commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar and pays tribute to the courage, leadership, and sacrifice of Admiral Lord Nelson and all those who have served at sea.

📜 Programme of Events:
• 09:30 – Parade forms at Bradford Centenary Square for VIP arrival and inspection
• 11:00 – Church Service at Bradford Cathedral
• 12:15 – March Past at Bradford City Hall
• 13:00 – Light refreshments and snacks at TS Aurora Bradford Sea & Royal Marines Cadets, Feversham St, BD3 9QL

Members of the public are warmly invited to attend and support this important occasion as we celebrate the enduring spirit of the Royal Navy and the Sea Cadet Corps.

We are extremely honoured to be hosting this parade, as it will be the first time that a Trafalgar Day Parade has taken place in West Yorkshire in many years. It will also be the first time that all eight units will be parading together as North District Sea Cadets

We look forward to welcoming all guests, families, and members of the community to join us in marking this significant day.
