a quick look at our new and improved packages, a few differences included
- these packages now come in a recyclable box rather than a plastic sleeve
- each box contains the same skeleton of products but each individual has the right to choose any extras they would like
- instead of using big business i’ve been in contact with my own local mindfulness coaches and crystal ladies to tell me what are the best things for mental health
lastly another reminder that you now have to cover your own postage
and don’t forget the application form can be found in the website part of my page
thank you for all the love
take care, Caroline 💗

Happy Christmas everyone,

thank you everyone for your patience with me and this
I hope I can continue to help people
lots of love Caroline 💗

⚠️i’m in a better head space now and this post was written a few weeks ago ⚠️

i’ve been at uni for a month and as i’ve discovered the hard way it isn’t the most enjoyable experience

some background i’ve spoken before about dreaming to be a midwife well that didn’t quite go to plan so i’m doing operation department practice (in simple terms the person that takes care of you before, during and after surgery) truthfully i hate my course. i thought if i made friends it would get better but i’m 18 away from home for the first time in a place i’ve never been before and it’s difficult.

i haven’t quite overcome my loneliness yet but i thought i’d give you some advice on how you might be able to overcome yours

1. take it slow- if you don’t feel ready to socialise don’t, don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself to make friends and go out and socialise.

2. make some new connections- anything new is scary to begin with maybe like me your struggling to fit in at uni but try and put yourself out there remembering not to rush yourself

an example from my life is going on nights out. i may be a fresher but i didn’t want to go out. so i paid for a freshers event ticket figuring that i can’t pull out if i have a ticket, and you know what i had a great time, i made friends with some second years and a few drinks down me and i was back to the social person i knew while i was at home.

3. try not to compare yourself to others. i’ve been doing this a lot looking at friends at other unis who have friends and go out every night while i’m sat alone in my flat rewatching the same 3 tv shows. it’s easy to do this but you have to remind yourself that they although surrounded by people are probably feeling the exact same way you are

4. finally remember to take care of you because friends are no good if you aren’t being friends with yourself. i say these next things a lot but remember to eat properly, get enough sleep, try and get yourself out for a bit of exercise even if it’s a 10 minute walk round the block

remember loneliness and doubting your ability is normal at uni and in life take care of yourselves
love caroline 💗
ps enjoy some photos from my first month at uni i know it will get better i just have to believe in myself

so exam season has started and i can’t say i’m looking forward to my first exam

but how can we control that exam anxiety

one good way for dealing with that exam stress is putting it into perspective. it’s easy to give yourself a hard time telling yourself that everything rests on these exams but look at it from the wider perspective keep your brain set on that end goal and use it as the the motivation to keep going. if the end result turns out to be a bit meh then there’s always another way around it to get you where you want to be

this suggestion is going to sound awful but try your best to cut out alcohol, caffeine or ni****ne. these 3 things are usually used as a coping mechanism for stress but in reality they actually act to increase it. if you can’t cut them out try something different for example you could cut your coffee out for herbal tea or water because they will keep your body hydrated intern helping you cope better with the stress

another easy thing we forget to do when stress gets in the way is eat properly make sure before exams you have a good meal and take some after exam snacks as a reward once it’s all over

finally try and get enough sleep, it’s hard because cramming for the exam the next day is all we can think about but switching off and putting it away to allow for 8 hours sleep will actually benefit you on exam day

your all going to smash it the best of luck and take care of yourselves Caroline 💗

School pressure and mental health.
A study conducted in 2019 showed that academic pressure is associated with mental health symptoms such as: anxiety and depression. The pressure of being told you have to do well can lead to burn out and sometimes even lower academic achievement based on the pressure placed upon yourself.

I wanted to talk about my own academic pressure. So I am a full time A level student, who is applying to uni, working, attempting to keep up with revision and coursework, while making time for friends and family and my hard work isn’t paying off. My grades are going down and falling way below my predicted grades and my university entry grades. On top of this I spend most of my days refreshing my emails waiting for that track my UCAS to come through hoping for a place. So far I have 4/5 rejections, I’m now numb to it the first one I cried on and off for 3 days forcing myself out of bed, the second 1 day and the last two not one tear. I’ve been told I need a backup plan but right now I’m just about ready to give up because what am I working for.
But I know I have to keep going if I really want this, which I do I’ve wanted this job since I was 4 I have to keep going despite how bad the pressure gets. I am determined that it will work out because hey I still have one uni I’m waiting on and that could change everything. I’m just going to keep working and trying my best and not put to much pressure on myself to achieve the As and Bs the university’s want

Please just go at your own pace and don’t let things overwhelm you like they have done to me over the past few weeks

Take care of yourselves Caroline 💗
