Its been and incredible couple.of weeks for the Kirkburton Beavers.

They have been stargazing and exploring our solar system! They learned lots of interesting facts about the planets, stars and everything beyond our world and had plenty of fun along the way!

Then onto a campfire evening filled with adventure, singing some classic campfire songs and enjoying some tasty s’mores
We also gave a big, warm welcome to 4 new faces joining our Beaver Colony , and everyone had the chance to show off their projects that they’ve been working hard on towards their badges. A massive shout out to our two Beavers that got up and oriented to thier fellows about thier badge work And finally we have extremely proud of our beaver who has passed his bronze award which is the highest award your can get being a beaver well done stanley!! It was a night full of fun, friendship and new experiences, making memories around the campfire

It’s brilliant to see our Beavers learning new things, trying new experiences and, most importantly, growing in confidence and having fun with their friends!
Another fantastic night at Kirkburton Beavers

Yesterday, the Guides attended the Girlguiding Big Gig at Webley Arena. We enjoyed a packed lunch while listening to a DJ set from Charlie Hedges, then spent the afternoon dancing to performances by JLS, Scouting for Girls, and Carla Monroe. We were also delighted to see the original Elphaba from Wicked perform and had a conversation with the Chief Guide. Ready for an adventure filled with friendship and unforgettable memories? 🦫 Beaver Scouts – Spaces Available! 🦫

It’s that bittersweet time of year when we have to start saying goodbye to some of our Beavers as they get ready to age up into Cub Scouts.

But the good news is… that means we have some spaces opening up for new Beavers!

If you have a girl or boy aged 6–8 who would love to try something new, we’d love to hear from you.

Beavers is a fantastic way for children to get away from the screens, get outdoors, make friends and have adventures, while learning practical skills, gaining badges and awards, and building experiences that will stay with them for life.

Outdoor adventures, Campfires & activities, New skills, Camping & exploring, New friends, Badges & awards and plenty of fun along the way!

If you think your child would enjoy being part of the adventure, get in touch with us today to find out more and secure a place.

We're excited to launch our brand-new Beaver Scouts video! 🎥 Join u...

On Monday night a few of the Guides went to Forget Me Not Hospice to present the cheque from the fundraising they did earlier this year. They raised an amazing £450, thank you to everyone who supported their fundraising efforts!

If anyone has (or will soon have) an empty mayonnaise jar like the one pictured here, could you please donate it us? Any brand is fine. Clean would be appreciated - we’ll worry about removing the label.

Thank you.
