This Volunteer Week we have exciting news to share.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance and the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust are working together to launch a Volunteer Emergency Responder programme.

Emergency Responder models are already successfully supporting ambulance services in other parts of the region with charity partners. This programme builds on that approach and represents the first time an air ambulance charity has developed this type of initiative in partnership with an ambulance service.

This joint initiative creates an opportunity for experienced responders to support frontline emergency care across Essex and Hertfordshire. As a Volunteer Emergency Responder, you will respond to emergency calls, work alongside ambulance crews and other emergency services, and help improve outcomes for patients in critical situations.

We are looking for individuals who are confident in high-pressure environments, work well as part of a team, and are committed to delivering centred care.
