The Pirton Sports and Social Club officially originated with an agreement signed with the Parish Council in 1994.

The Sports & Social Club offers great facilities for parties of up to around 100 people. A fully-stocked bar (at Club prices), a recently-refurbished kitchen and a friendly atmosphere make this the ideal location for receptions, christening parties or for that special Birthday Bash. Rates: £15.00 per hour (or £12.50 per hour to Club Members). A Booking form can be downloaded here and should be returned to Lizzie at [email protected]. (Note that the amount of deposit required must be confirmed with Lizzie). The Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) can be booked by the general public for tennis, basketball or other suitable sports. Rates are £10.00 per hour for one court, or 15 per hour for 2 courts (the full MUGA). Bookings are managed by the Pirton Parish Council

Unfortunately, today’s pitch is offering far more turn for ducks than cricketers, so the match has been called off due to a waterlogged wicket.

Fancy a game of backgammon? 🎲

Pirton Village Backgammon Club meets on the second Wednesday of every month, and our next club night is Wednesday 10th June at the new pavilion.

We’re a small, friendly group of Pirtonians who get together for a relaxed evening of backgammon, chat, and the occasional outrageously lucky double six.

All levels are welcome. You don’t need to be an expert. If you know the basics, great. If you haven’t played for years, no problem. If you’re completely new but fancy learning, come along and have a go.

And, very importantly, the bar is always open on backgammon night!

So, if you live in or around Pirton and fancy joining us, drop me a message or comment below and I’ll send you the details.

Iced coffees were a hit today at Pirton Community Café. A great new addition to the menu; nice with a dash of caramel or vanilla syrup! Open again tomorrow (Thu 28th May) from 8am.
