💙 Stand by Me, bereavemnt support – supporting our local community
We were delighted to welcome Stand by Me, a local Hitchin charity, to one of our Rotary meetings.
It was a great opportunity to hear more about the work they do locally, the people they support and the difference they are making in our community.
Lots of listening, plenty of questions and, as always, a reminder of just how many amazing organisations are quietly doing great things in Hitchin. 👏

❤️ Reflecting on the Hitchin AED Scheme ❤️
We were delighted to hear from Maggie Hackney, who gave us a fascinating insight into the Hitchin AED (defibrillator) scheme and the difference it is making in our community.
It was a great reminder that having an AED nearby — and knowing how to use it — really can make a life-saving difference when every second counts.
A big thank you to Maggie for sharing her knowledge and helping us understand just how important this community initiative is. 👏
Because when it comes to saving lives, being prepared really matters. ❤️

💚 A BIG thank you to Waitrose 💚
A huge thank you to Waitrose Hitchin and everyone who popped their green tokens into our box as part of the Green Token Scheme. 🟢
Every little token really does add up, a cool £1500 has meant we have just about completed our Better Beginnings for Babies project.
So, thank you for voting for us — and to Waitrose for giving local causes a chance to turn a handful of tiny green tokens into something that makes a BIG difference!
