The North Herts Guild of Singers is one of the best-known and best-supported choral groups in the North Hertfordshire area, with a membership of around 140 singers, a wide repertoire ranging from popular oratorio and opera to smaller, less familiar works, and an ever-growing reputation for high standards of music making. Over the past 50 years the choir has been privileged to work with scores of f
irst-class musicians, conductors and singers. Orchestral accompaniment has been provided by local ensembles such as the North Herts College Orchestra and the Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra; we have also welcomed groups such as the Mozart Players, Chavri Agreable ensemble and the Ealing Youth Orchestra. Soloists have included winners of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition and singers who have gone on to become household names. With a wealth of talent to call upon, an exceptional musical director and a hard-working committee determined to make sure that standards are maintained, the Guild is confident of going from strength to strength.
