We help young people to ‘Start and Stay’ in golf by making their introduction to the game fun, innovative, inspiring, inclusive and enriching. We take adapted versions of the game to schools and community groups, introduce young people to golf clubs, teach playing and transferable life skills and keep young people playing in golf clubs.

Our Girls Leadership event is nearly here, and we cannot wait.

We have teamed up with the LPGA Foundation to host their incredible two-day Leadership Academy - marking the first time this prestigious event has ever been hosted outside the US!

Utilising golf as a platform, this academy is designed to help young female players (aged 13-18) build self-esteem, discover leadership opportunities, take calculated risks, and find their own voice at a pivotal age.

We have an amazing group of 40 young golfers joining us at this iconic venue, and they’ll even be learning from and guided by a very special guest speaker: Charley Hull! 🌟🏆

Two days, one brilliant venue, the countdown is officially on! 🙌

What an unbelievable day at the magnificent Moor Park Golf Club for the second running of our annual match against the .

It was a unique, hard-fought format - with teams competing in fourball better ball on the front nine before splitting into intense singles matchplay contests on the back nine. We were even joined on the fairways by England cricket legends Andy Caddick and Monty Panesar!

THE FINAL SCORE:
⛳️ Golf Foundation: 27
🏏 Lord's Taverners: 18

THE REAL RESULT:
✨ Over £20,000 raised! ✨

While we’re thrilled to take home the victory this year, the true win is the incredible amount raised. These vital funds will be split between both charities to help us continue using the power of sport to positively impact young lives.

This Women's Golf Month, we want to share something we are incredibly proud of here at the Golf Foundation. 💙🏌️‍♀️

Championing and supporting female players is at the heart of what we do. From seeing brilliant mixed teams and girls-only leagues and teams thrive in the GolfSixes League, to supporting dedicated girls-only coaching sessions, and celebrating the incredible clubs making it their mission to be a space where girls feel welcome, confident and able to thrive.

Next week, we’re bringing all of that amazing energy together at The Belfry for our Girls Leadership Event

It’s going to be an unforgettable two days packed with interactive workshops, on-course sessions, and a whole lot of inspiration for the next generation of leaders in our sport - keep an eye on our channels for more!

GolfSixes League season is officially in full swing! 🏌️‍♂️🔥

The summer of golf is here, and this weekend is a massive one. We have 45 clubs across England and Wales kicking off their season and joining the fun. Over in Scotland, the momentum is already massive with 32 leagues up and running across 163 clubs!

The courses are going to be absolutely buzzing, but the excitement doesn't stop here - we still have more leagues preparing to launch over the coming weeks.

Good luck to everyone teeing off this weekend! Let’s make it a brilliant season of fast, fun, team golf. 🙌✨

If you know an individual, club, or project going above and beyond, we want to hear about them! Winners will get to attend our prestigious awards ceremony held at Wentworth during the incredible BMW PGA Pro-Am Championship hosted by none other than Golf Foundation President, Nick Dougherty!

Here are the categories open for nomination this year:

🏅 The Sir Henry Cotton Award – Celebrating an individuals incredible dedication and long-term commitment to junior golf.

It’s Volunteers’ Week, and we want to give a massive shoutout to our incredible blue-shirted army! 💙🙌
Throughout the year, amazing volunteers give their time and energy to help us bring golf to life. We quite literally couldn't do it without them.

A huge, special thank you goes out to everyone who helps us run our fundraising mini-games and activations at the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am! The energy at Wentworth is always unmatched, and our team does a brilliant job keeping the crowd smiling and raising vital funds for junior golf. 🏌️‍♂️✨

We are already so excited to welcome our returning volunteers back to the course this year - and it’s not too late for you to join them!

Women in Golf Month is officially underway, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate it alongside our Ambassador, .hull ✨

Creating inclusive spaces and empowering the next generation is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why in just two weeks, we’re keeping the momentum going by teaming up with our friends at Foundation for a Girls Leadership Event - bringing together young female golfers from across the country for two days of workshops, on-course sessions, and plenty of inspiration. And Charley is a guest speaker 😄

This is the first event of its kind to take place outside of the US, and WE CAN'T WAIT

We’re proud to be part of something special this summer. 🏆

With The Open heading to Royal Birkdale and the AIG Women’s Open to Royal Lytham & St Annes, the north-west of England is the place to be for golf this summer. To celebrate, the R&A has launched the ‘Your Golfing Hero’ competition and the Golf Foundation is proud to be on the judging panel alongside the R&A and England Golf.

The idea is simple: young people in Lancashire, Birkdale and Southport nominate the coach, parent, club member or friend who inspired their love of golf, through a short video or written entry. Two winners receive a once-in-a-lifetime prize - one gets to stand on the first tee at Royal Birkdale for the Heroes Classic alongside Jordan Spieth, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose and Pádraig Harrington; the other steps inside the ropes at Royal Lytham for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the AIG Women’s Open. ⛳️

Celebrating the unsung heroes who give young people the gift of golf - that’s what we’re all about. If you’re under 18 and live in Lancashire, Birkdale or Southport, links to enter are in our bio. Entries close 12 June.
