Probus Members enjoyed a fascinating tour of Severn Trent's Wastewater Treatment Plant at Minworth on 18 August. Minworth is the largest wastewater treatment plant in the Midlands and one of the biggest in the UK, processing sewage from over 1.7 million people across Birmingham and the surrounding area. Now we know what happens to the poo.

Next Meeting's talk on 17 August features Peter Slater. Peter is a retired BBC Sports Reporter and Producer. He will recall stories of close encounters with people like Brian Clough, Geoffrey Boycott, Muhammad Ali and Mika Hakkinen, plus stories of life in the Premier League, Formula One, the Olympics and The Tour de France.
