This is what community spirit is all about! 🌟 A massive shoutout to the incredible team at Lowson Memorial Church for everything they do. From "cosey cuppies" and lunch clubs to youth groups and the food project, the impact of your volunteers spans generations and changes lives right here in Angus.

Volunteers truly are the backbone of our communities, and seeing people from their teens to their 90s working together is incredibly inspiring. 🙌

Could you lend a hand to lighten the load?

As the church mentioned, there’s always room for a few more friendly faces! Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn new skills, and give back to your local community - even if you only have an hour or two to spare.

We are blessed with so many volunteers from all ages - teens to those who are nearing 90s!

Without them there would be no cosey cuppies, lunch club, toddler groups, food project, news letter, youth groups, bus trips, craft group, shoppie. free school uniforms etc etc to many to list!

However we could always do with a few more hands to lighten the load !

As we celebrate Volunteers' Week, we want to give a massive shout-out to our friends over at RBLS Forfar.

The Legion is an absolute cornerstone of the Forfar community, providing a warm, welcoming hub for veterans and locals alike. But behind the scenes, it’s their incredible team of selfless volunteers who truly make the magic happen.

From gardening and building maintenance to running those legendary bingo nights, serving behind the bar, and coordinating the vital annual Poppy Appeal - these volunteers do it all!

Without this amazing team donating their time, skills, and energy, the Legion doors would struggle to open.

Volunteering is a brilliant way to learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and directly give back to those who have given so much. Whether you have a couple of hours a month or a few days a week, the Forfar Legion has a place for you.

As part of Volunteer's Week HOPE Organic Garden & Shop are having a Volunteer Drop In Event at their garden this Saturday, June 6th between 10am and 3pm.

HOPE couldn't operate the way it does without the help of their wonderful volunteers and the wider community, so thank you to everyone for their continued support.

We are absolutely delighted to share this post from JARS Community Hub - Brechin celebrating their incredible volunteers.

Whether they are keeping the Larder stocked, welcoming faces in the Café, or bringing the Garden to life, these volunteers are the definition of community spirit. It’s also fantastic to hear that even more new faces are joining the team! 🙌
