Job Vacancy – Part Time Yard Supervisor

The Brae is a full time Riding for the Disabled Centre on the outskirts of Dundee. We operate from our purpose-built facilities, and offer therapy through horses to children and adults.

We have excellent facilities at the Brae – an indoor arena, outdoor arena, 8 ponies, and a mechanical horse.

We are looking for a part time Yard Supervisor to join our staff team.

We need someone who is energetic with a positive outlook, who has experience looking after horses, excellent people skills, and is confident working alongside people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

You will be joining a team who are passionate about RDA. You should be prepared to go the extra mile to look after our horses and volunteers, who provide life-changing therapy to our participants.

Hours of work are 22 hours per week, flexible to suit our operational needs.

Core hours will be Tuesday to Saturday 8.30 - 12.30, some afternoon hours may be required.

Rate of pay is National Living Wage.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and help us to make a difference.

30 years ago, about this time, we moved lock stock and barrel from Invereighty to South Bottymyre. Going from meeting and riding outside to the fabulous centre we now have. These pictures were taken at our open day (coffee morning) on 25/9/1993. Elinor taking a class and if you look closely you’ll see me riding my own horse Mouse in the background having just done a riding display for parents with one of our riders at the time. Happy Days and lots of great memories.

Where is this year disappearing to …… now accepting donations for our Coffee Morning stalls - tombola/bottle stall, good quality bric-a-brac (no clothing or footwear), cake and candy on the day - 28th November @ 9.30 - and Raffle prizes. Please remember to pick up some tickets for selling, I got extra this year as we sold out last year. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, let’s try and make it a good one ☺️
