Deirdre Knight Centre Deirdre Knight Centre is a voluntary sector establishment run by a voluntary management committee providing day care for adults in the local community.

We welcome members within our community that may be experiencing social isolation, physical disability or mental health issues, learning disabilities and provide carer respite. The centre was first opened in 1987 by Mary the Countess of Strathmore as Forfar Day Care Centre. The premises were extended in December 1999 and in July 2003 to upgrade the amenities and

meet the changing needs of the community. Now known as the Deirdre Knight Centre. The facilities are located just of the Lour road in Forfar and we have two fully equipped minibuses to transport service users to and from the centre. On arrival they enjoy tea & coffee before taking part in a variety of activities and entertainment. As well as the social side of the centre it provides a care role with many visiting health professionals. where service users can be supported to access theses services within the centre. We cater for adults within our community that may be experiencing social isolation, physical disability or mental health issues, learning disabilities and provide carer respite.

💙 Supporting Our Community for 39 Years 💙
At Centre Deirdre Knight, we are proud to have been a charity at the heart of our local community for the past 39 years.
We provide care, support and companionship for older adults and people living with age-related illnesses, dementia and cognitive impairment.
Our aim is to help people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life while providing a welcoming, safe and supportive environment. We understand how important social connection, meaningful activities and compassionate care are—not only for the people we support, but also for their families and carers.
For nearly four decades,Deirdre Knight centre has been there for our community, and we remain committed to making a positive difference every day. 💙
We are more than a service—we are part of the community.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our charity over the past 39 years. Together, we continue to care, support and make a difference. 💙

Come along and join us for a fun evening of Bingo Tea! 🥳 There will be plenty of fun, prizes and a great atmosphere.
