Documental Productions Award-winning Devon-based production company. PULLING OUT
Written by Lucy Bell, directed by Stephanie Kempson, performed by Bob Yates-Tily and Eliot Salt.

Leo’s 17. He’s got healthy right-swipe rate on Tinder and a manbag full of nappies. Leo’s on the triple shift of school, work and nightfeeds and wants to be a dad in every sense. That’s if his baby’s mum will let him. Or her mum. Or step dad. Or his mum. Those nana’s and grandads all want a piece of the pie. So did Leo pull out or was he pushed? Inspired by frank and funny accounts of unplanned teen pregnancy from the male perspective, PULLING OUT is a new delivery from Documental Theatre, who won Toast of the Plymouth Fringe Award last year with SCORE.

“A powerful theatrical hit” ****FEMALE ARTS on SCORE
“‘PULLING OUT feels relevant, fresh and an unexplored area” NUFFIELD THEATRE

As part of our Scaffolding tour this year, we had a small grant from Arts Council to reprise our song writing programme for PWLDs and carers. The resulting original songs have become part of the setlist for Sing and Sign Jukebox Choir. Have a listen to this lovely song by Victoria, dedicated to her grandmother (My Yiayia, which is grandmother in Cypriot). Thanks to Matt Rogers for composing the backing track and shout out to all the nanas!
