At a loose end? Fancy a cuppa?

For over 2 years now, LifeCare have been proud to host a The Chatty Cafe Scheme UK table in our community café. Due to such high demand for our Monday sessions, we are excited to be launching a new day of Chatty Cafe starting next week on Wednesdays!

Everyone is welcome to join us on Wed 9th of September 10am - 11.30am for our official opening party! Enjoy tea, coffee and cake and good company, all completely free☕🍰

Every Monday 11am - 1pm
Every Wednesday 10am - 11.30am
At the LifeCare hub, 2 Cheyne St, Stockbridge
Stay for as long as you like - it can be 5 minutes or an hour or so - the choice is always yours.

Our new free carers class starts tomorrow!

Join Noah for a relaxing guided hour of Chi Gong at 12.30pm. No need to book, pop along and enjoy a cuppa after winding down in our community cafe.

Do you provide care and support to an adult family member, friend or a neighbour? An unpaid carer does not need to be living with the person they care for. Anybody can become a carer at any time in their life and sometimes for more than one person at a time. We have a programme of free health and wellbeing activities for unpaid carers at The LifeCare Centre in Stockbridge. Join us to enjoy a new activity or get back to something you love. All activities are free and accessible. You’re welcome to bring along the person you care for.

We are looking for a new volunteer to join our team!

Are you sociable, enthusiastic and want to be apart of a charity that tackles loneliness and isolation? We'd love to hear from you!

We are looking for a new hub greeter to join us on Thursdays in our LifeCare building. LifeCare is a registered charity with an 85 year history of providing uplifting support to older people around Edinburgh. Our hub at the heart of Stockbridge is home to our office, cafe, day club and is a bustling centre where multiple activities take place throughout the day. You'd primarily be greeting visitors, providing a warm welcome and answering calls. There will be a few weeks of shadowing to get yourself comfortable with the space.

One of our current hub greeters had this to say "My favourite reason for volunteering at LifeCare is quite simply all the wonderful people that make LifeCare the incredibly place that it is. It is an absolute joy to be a volunteer here and spend time with everyone”
