It seems there is always a never-ending list of to dos in life. Thankfully for most, collecting and boiling water isn’t on that list.
Many of us take water for granted. Whether it’s drinking, brushing teeth, making coffee or doing the washing up, we use water each and every day – but don’t even recognise it. It’s so familiar – an expected baseline – that we don’t for a moment consider how lucky we are to have it.
But did you know that roughly 10% of the world’s population don’t have access to safe, potable water. Each day, their to do list starts with sourcing water – often from a far way source – then boiling it so it’s more safe to drink.
You can help change that. The Maclean Foundation works with communities in Madagascar to build and maintain boreholes, giving communities access to water for life.
