Overnight roadworks set to begin this week
Resurfacing work is being carried out at eight locations along the A87, starting on Tuesday 14 April. The project is expected to run until the morning of Saturday 30 May.
Work will take place overnight between 7pm and 5am, with no activity planned for Saturday or Sunday nights.
Timed amnesties will allow vehicles to pass at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 2am and 4am.
The only exception is south of the Skye Bridge, where a convoy system controlled by temporary traffic lights will be in operation instead of full closures.
Drivers are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.

A87 North of Borve: Tuesday 14 April to Thursday 23 April
North end closed during works with access maintained via A850 junction end.
A87 Sluggans Industrial Estate (North of Portree): Thursday 23 April to Wednesday 29 April
Access maintained locally to industrial estate during works.
A87 Braes B883 junction: Wednesday 29 April to Friday 1 May
B883 junction closed during works, access maintained via South junction.
A87 South of Dunvegan (Sligachan): Friday 1 May to Saturday 2 May
A87 Sconser: Tuesday 5 to May Wednesday 13 May
North junction closed during works with access maintained via South junction near ferry terminal. No works on Monday 4 and Thursday 7 May.
A87 Broadford Wednesday 13 May to Friday 22 May
Road closed from Broadford Village hall to High Road junction with access maintained under amnesty. Exit from junctions and accesses within the closure, including at the B8083 junction, will be maintained locally whenever it’s safe to do so. Closure lengths will be kept to a minimum to reduce impact.
A87 North of Armadale junction (Harrapool): Friday 22 May to Friday 29 May
Access through the closure will be maintained under amnesty. Exit from junctions and accesses within the closure will be maintained locally whenever it’s safe to do so. The A851 Armadale junction will remain open throughout these works.
A87 South of Skye Bridge Friday 29 May to Saturday 30 May
