Look who I went to visit today !

And who made me cry by shouting to me when she saw me !

But she is doing incredibly well and I couldn’t be happier with where she is .

With a slight change to her name Thea is going to blow people away. She’s amazing and Holly is doing a wonderful job with her.

We are going to be heavily pushing the climate change issue in the coming weeks, please don't think when the rain finally comes we are ok, we won't be as the problem with lead directly to flash flooding and cause even bigger issues. Climate change IS real. i don't care who you are you will very soon be feeling its effect, food prices WILL rise as not one farmer has made a good harvest this year, or last. But our immediate issue is that there is simply nothing left for the animals to eat and its bled us dry on top of a huge rent and overheads.
PLEASE if you can help us save what we have left do, our support programs have not yet run out of good will steam, but we are struggling to rebuild from the past couple of years.

For 9 years, Honey Hope has been a place of healing providing vital mental health support … Bridget Adams-Shaw needs your support for The Honey Pot Is Empty

A reminder - I don’t do this often, however, I wanted to remind all my followers, through all the crazy life journeys we go through. If the one you’re on now is hard, keep going. Life gets excruciatingly hard ….. just know, walking through the fire is the only way to find inexplicable results.

It’s hard now, it WILL get better, I promise.

My most wonderful friend MP and I took a load of sheep to Bakewell this morning.
I’m very proud of the stock we have, well I was until loading when we ended up with sheep hurdles, lambs and people flying about all over the place !
But we got them back ( minus one lamb) and loaded to head off for sale. Everyone travelled well and we left them in the sales pen .

Feeling almost like true farmers this morning !

Cheers MP , you’re an absolute star! Here’s to next time!

Happy National Mac & Cheese Day! 🧀🐑

Wait... not that kind of mac and cheese.

We’re talking about our favorite woolly duo: Mackenzie (Mac) and Bandit (Cheese)!

While they might not be covered in melted cheddar, they are definitely:

- 100% comforting
- The perfect blend of warm and fuzzy
- An absolute staple of our daily happiness

Mac: The foundational ingredient. Usually leading the way, excellent at finding the best patches of grass, and 100% wholesome.

Bandit (“Cheese”): The sharp flavor. Living up to the name Bandit by stealing snacks, causing a little mischief, and keeping things interesting.

Separately they are great, but together? The perfect blend

Here’s to the cheesiest, most comforting pair on the farm. Show some love to our very own Mac and Cheese in the comments!

*NB: they aren’t staying in the stable in this weather, they came in for a photo and are back in the field again

So our first stock sale update, we sold our older ewes at Bakewell this morning and although not the strongest price we could have achieved for what they are and the market at present I’m ok with it.
It’s so very important that people understand that buying British is the only way to let farmers of all sizes survive. We only achieved 2/3 of market price today due to a few factors . But with what you might see as soaring meat prices in the UK , and trust me I get it! Meat is expensive. It has to be touched on just how little of that the farmer actually sees.
Better social media accounts than I can give you in depth information but essentially if you purchase a pack of minced lamb for £8 from a supermarket your farmer sees less than a pound of that. And we are the ones , shearing, worming, vaxxing, tupping, lambing, weaning and growing on . Yes supermarkets and restaurants have overheads and people must be treated properly, but farmers keep this country going. Respect them, love them, support them .

It’s not easy to do all that and then see the market rates fail you.

A huge shoutout to one of my all time favourite people this morning, Matt has been a wonderful support in the last six months, and today he and I are taking the first of our sheep stock to Market, selling for the first time I have to admit to being very nervous . But I’m excited to see how the day pans out.

Thank you Matt, literally could not have done the last weeks without you.

If we are updating people on ridden horses then here’s one I REALLY never thought I’d be posting .

It’s VERY important that we make it clear that Honey Hope do not, have not and never will offer ridden work.

This horse has not been ridden in 10 years , 11 by me but she is doing beautiful things, she may be a veteran but it doesn’t stop her acting like a young gun at times.

An update on Teddy for those who want it .

When she left she became rather unwell and I wasn’t sure I’d be posting this.

However the AMAZING care of her new owners ( who are keeping her, and she’s staying fairly locally!) she made a wonderful recovery she is now under saddle and making incredible steps in her as a ridden horse .

I am immensely proud of this mare and I am so very very happy that my friends bought her.

NB I am aware the head is cropped on the picture, that is by design !

I’m often asked ( especially by one of our friends) ‘why goats , I don’t get it ‘ Well sir …..
