Debs here from Transform Mental Health CIC. I knew Danny some years back meeting him at the legendary "Town Mill" in Mansfield. He also played at the festival I organised in Lenton many years ago as Danny Griffiths. I kept in touch via facebook occasionally . Fast forward to this year and he along with Becks set up the fantastic Open Mic nights at The Firerock. There he broke his five year absence from the stage. He brought enthusiasm, expertise, excitement, a willingness to learn and had the most fantastic people skills I have ever seen. I loved the indie years so I loved his sets.
We were just in the process of making him a director of Transform Mental Health CIC when this tragedy happened. As a carer atm for someone on end of life I don't think I will make tonight, but tonight I will raise a glass for the awesome, the fantastic, the totally unique Danny Apple ♥. Rebecca Leivers will be organising again and am sure it will be a fantastic night. Please share the photos of the night and the videos. Am sure many are still in shock but this night may help to ease the pain. ♥and a big thanks to Stephanie Greatorex for helping with the photographs..

It's back next Thursday our Open Mic night. At the Firerock. We really are loving this event in a fantastic beautiful venue.
