Since working with transform cic and ashfield creates I am advocating support and helping raise funds to set up more events just like the open mic night we set up at firerock in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

These are not just musical events, this is a place to get mental health support and to be pointed in the right direction, this is for everyone who may be struggling to find that help.

It's certainly helped me already, I realised I had stage fright straight after lockdown, this is after spending my life on the stage, I still have no reason why it happened and i seriously thought I'd never play again.

Well fast forward to Rebecca Leivers and Deborah hill (Jasmine Wonderdog) asking me to help set up events and step back on that stage, I spent weeks wide awake thinking I couldn't do it, well I did and now I'm back playing and feel better than before, all I needed was that support and I'm getting over it.

Without this help I'd still be doubting myself, but now I'm not only performing but I'm helping set up events, this is why it's so important for people to have this help.

Ats Council funding, always worth reading about the criteria for grants in depth. This is available on their website.
"Project Grants" opens up on 1st April with a new 8 week turn around. Upto 30k. Your project must fit the "Lets Create" Arts Council criteria.
"Developing Your Own Creative Practice" is a fund up to 12k for artists. This fund is also opens up in April.
Recomend, signing up for the Arts Council newsletter and reading in depth all about what they are looking for. Community connection is vital.

A new fund for Derbyshire residents looks at TraditionalHeritage Crafts. £2500 to help with training and development.

We are all ready and set for Thursday night at The FireRock Brewing Company Sutton. 7-9pm. Open Mic night, establishing our Ashfield Network, giving advice on funding, information on mental and physical health providers and much more. A welcome and friendly environment we look forward to meeying you.

Funding for artists and musicians. We are happy to advise on funding here at Transform Mental Health CIC. There is not a great deal an individual artist can apply for. However there are funds out there which many just do not know about.

Arts Council funding for "Developing Your Own Creative Practice".
The fund will be opening early April.
It is for individual artists and musicians.
It's upto 12k
