At SCB, we help individuals grow in confidence, build real-world skills and find purpose in everyday achievements. SUPPORT A CHARITY THAT WORKS FOR YOU!

We believe everyone deserves a place to feel safe, supported and included. Our aim is to provide a therapeutic workshop facility for people in the locality with special needs / learning difficulties who wish to explore the world of work in a safe and controlled environment. Outwork is sourced from local businesses, providing real and meaningful work tasks which, through instruction and supervision from dedicated staff, enables service users to learn basic work and life skills, gain an understanding of the world around them, interact and form friendships, grow in confidence and gain a sense of well being. The structured routine also offers parents and carers respite and the opportunity to organise their own time. If you feel you could support us, either through providing outwork or by offering support, please contact us via our website. 🚴‍♂️ 3 Bikes. 8 Hours Each. 24 Hours of Pedalling! 💪

Today, SCB were happy to lend a hand to our friends at RK Henshall, collecting three exercise bikes from Sandbach Health & Leisure and delivering them to their offices ahead of tomorrow's fundraising challenge!

The RK Henshall team will be taking turns to keep all three bikes going for 8 hours each – that's a whopping 24 hours of cycling! 🚴

A big thank you to Sandbach Rugby Club for donating the bikes, all in aid of the fantastic Andy's Man Club! 💙

Andys Man Club is a men's su***de prevention charity offering free peer-to-peer support, helping men talk openly about their mental health. Their message is simple but powerful – 💙

Good luck to everyone taking part tomorrow – we'll be cheering you on! 👏

🎁 A delicate job that requires a careful touch!

One of the trickier jobs our trainees take on at SCB involves creating packs of 10 gift tags made from seeded paper. 🌱

Each individual tag needs to be carefully popped out of a larger sheet, 10 equal lengths of string cut, and everything neatly assembled into a pack ready to hang on a shop display.

Sounds simple? Not quite!

The seeded paper is incredibly delicate and brittle, meaning one finger pressing too hard could tear the customer's product. Patience, concentration and a gentle touch are absolutely essential!

It's a fantastic example of the care and attention to detail our trainees put into their work every day. 👏

🎄✨ The festive preparations are well underway at SCB!

Our wonderful Linda and trainees have been busy getting everything ready for our upcoming Christmas Wreath-Making Masterclass! 🎅

From sharing new skills to preparing materials and getting those mossed rings ready, our workshop is already starting to feel a little bit Christmassy! 🎄

We're so excited to welcome everyone for some festive creativity, mince pies, hot chocolate, mulled w**e and plenty of Christmas cheer! ☕🍷

🌱 Can our lovely followers help us out? 🌱

We've been busy making wooden planters in our workshop which we're donating to local community projects, and we're now on the lookout for donations of compost to help fill them!

We're hoping to secure our first donation by this Wednesday (4th November) if possible, so any help at short notice would be hugely appreciated!

We're already exploring support from some larger retailers, but we'd also love to hear from any individuals, keen gardeners or smaller local garden centres who might have a spare bag or two they'd be happy to donate.

If you can help and would be happy to drop some compost off at our workshop on Gateway in Crewe (next to Toolstation), we'd be incredibly grateful! 💜

🎃🦇 Halloween has arrived at SCB! 🦇🎃

What a fantastic day we’ve had at our Halloween Bat Ball in memory of Craig! 💜

There were lots of games, plenty of dancing, some brilliant fancy dress costumes and a delicious chippy lunch!

The most special moment was unveiling a bench in Craig’s memory — a lasting tribute to someone who brought so much laughter and joy to SCB and to celebrate his love of Halloween!

Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special. A day full of smiles, friendship and happy memories, celebrating Craig in a way he would have loved. 🦇
