On Tuesday 17 November, we’ll be working with Care Leavers National Movement, YPBMF and NLCBF to bring together care-experienced young people, professionals, organisations and sector leaders at The Vox in Birmingham for a national event focused on sharing ideas, learning from one another and creating positive change for care leavers.

With inspiring speakers, opportunities to connect with others across the sector, and care-experienced voices at the heart of the conversation, it’s a chance to come together around what matters most: creating better futures for young people leaving care.

As today’s conference comes to an end, NHP would like to thank CLNM Reps, care-experienced young people, partners and everyone who attended and contributed to the day.

It’s been an opportunity to come together, share experiences, build connections and reflect on the importance of listening to young people and supporting them to shape the services and opportunities that affect their lives.

Thank you to CLNM for the work that went into planning the conference, and to everyone who helped make the day possible.

The conversations don’t stop here, the ideas and connections from today can continue to support positive change across Local House Projects and beyond. 💙

The CLNM Annual Conference has reached its halfway point, bringing together young people, CLNM Reps and partners for a day of sharing experiences and ideas.

Events like this create valuable opportunities to listen, learn from one another and strengthen connections across the network.

There’s still plenty to look forward to this afternoon, and NHP is looking forward to what the rest of the day brings! 💙

The countdown is nearly over! NHP is looking forward to welcoming partners from across the country tomorrow for a day of sharing ideas, learning from one another and celebrating the work happening across Local House Projects.

There’s been plenty of preparation behind the scenes to get everything ready, and it’s nearly time to bring everyone together!

The conference is an opportunity to connect with people who share a commitment to helping care-experienced young people build connected, fulfilling and independent lives.

NHP is looking forward to seeing partners, catching up with familiar faces and hearing about the work taking place across the network. 💙

From an idea to a plan — and then making it happen!

Young people from Cohort 3 of Sandwell House Project put their House Project skills into action today, pitching to NHP for funding to take part in a group activity.

As part of their pitch, the young people worked together to plan the activity, calculate the costs and travel expenses, and think carefully about how they could make the most of the funding available.

The opportunity was made possible thanks to funding raised by GES, helping the young people turn their plans into something they could enjoy together. 🙌

This is the House Project in action: young people having a voice, making decisions, managing money, working together and taking ownership of their experiences.

It’s not just about the activity — it’s about the skills, confidence and connections built along the way. 💙
