YMCA Chippenham Charity Shop Visit our store for a range of clothing, books, toys, electrical goods and more. YMCA is the oldest and largest youth charity in the world.

Money raised in YMCA charity shops, through the sale of donated goods helps support YMCAs work. In England and Wales, YMCA intensively supports 572,000 young people every year, ensuring each young person we meet has an opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive. As a federation in England and Wales, we focus on the following key areas of work:

Our shops accept good quality donated clothing, bric-a-brac, furniture, games, puzzles and more. Teams including volunteers sort these donations, which are then sold at bargain prices. Join our team today by applying to volunteer. We can accept Duke of Edinburgh placements. We are on the gift aid scheme and if you are an income tax payer you too can gift aid your donations. Please share: 🌡️ As temperatures continue to rise across the UK, it's important to remember that extreme weather doesn't just affect our comfort, it can pose serious risks for people experiencing homelessness.

Access to water, shade, cooling spaces and safe accommodation isn't something everyone can take for granted.

If you're out and about during the heatwave, small acts of kindness can make a real difference:

💧 Offer a bottle of water if you're able to.
🧴 Consider carrying spare sunscreen.
🏢 Signpost people to local support services and cooling spaces.
❤️ Treat everyone with dignity, respect and compassion.
