Happy World Rotaract Week! This one goes out to all our wonderful members 💗

Here at Rotaract Chippenham we might be small, but we’ve done so much in the last 2.5 years! We’re proud to be part of a movement of volunteering and being involved in our local community.

Being a member of Rotaract means being part of something bigger. 🌍

It’s about service, leadership, friendship, and the belief that even small actions can create meaningful change. Through volunteering, we learn compassion, teamwork, and the true value of giving back to our communities.

Rotaract isn’t just a club, it’s a movement of young people committed to making the world a better place. Every project, every initiative, and every hour of service reminds us that when we work together, we can create real impact.

Wowza what a morning! 🎄🤶🏼🎅🏽✨ Chippenham and Calne Rotary getting Leigh Delemare Services in the Christmas spirit with a little sing song and what a turn out! Jemma attended to help out whilst other Rotaract members are hosting in the Rotary shop today. It was made even better with lots of smiles and rounds of applause from those making pit stops on their Christmas journeys. 🎄🤶🏼🎅🏽✨

Last Friday night Rotaract Chippenham held our first Charity Quiz Night doing a Decades Quiz* at . It brought together all the different sections of Rotary Club of Chippenham and Calne!

It was a brilliant night and very well supported. Isobel (one of our members who is a secondary school teacher!) was the perfect Quiz Master controlling the room.

A massive thank you to for the lovely food. Thanks to everyone who took part and supported us.

On Saturday our team spent a rewarding (and warm!) day at getting stuck into all kinds of jobs taking part in one of their volunteer days 💪. There were so many ways to help suited to lots of different abilities.

We chopped logs 🪵
We helped shift wood for bonfires 🔥
Poo-picked for the ponies & donkeys 🐴
Helped give some of their barn a new lick of paint. 🎨

And of course no visit would be complete without getting to say hello to some of their amazing residents. Our camera rolls were all pretty full at the end of the day with lots of adorable animals!

🚨 Introducing… DIGGER! 🦁🎉

A few weeks ago, one of our amazing members joined Rotary on their Kids Day Out to Longleat — a fun-filled day packed with adventure and wild animal encounters! 🐘🦓🦒

While there, the kids were asked to help us name our new Rotaract mascot… and the votes are in! 🗳️👏

A huge THANK YOU to all the schools who took part and gave us some brilliant suggestions, you made it tough to choose!

But we’re thrilled to announce that the winning name is… DIGGER! 🧡🐾
Special thanks to Priestley School for the winning suggestion!

A few weeks ago a number of our members joined Chippenham Rotary and Corporate Rotary at their President Handover night. We saw the two previous Presidents David and Kate hand over to Eddie and Steve.

Well done to Kate and David for an amazing year and all the effort and money you raised for local and global charities.

To the new Presidents… welcome! We know you’re both going to have an amazing year. Eddie has already inspired us all and helped establish our Rotaract club! So we can only imagine what both Steve and Eddie are going to achieve in their year. We look forward in helping you out.
