Through her warmth and leadership, Lillian has helped create a welcoming community where friendships have flourished across cultures and languages. By bringing local residents and Ukrainian refugees together, she has helped foster understanding, connection, and a sense of belonging, showing the extraordinary impact a Warm Welcome Space can have on people's lives.

On the first day of Volunteers Week 2026 it’s so important to acknowledge the importance of volunteers within our community and the work of the centre. Much of the work takes place behind the scenes but is so vital in sustaining support for communities and community members.
