Great online group for those feeding children who are 9+ months.

On Tuesday evening, the 27th October, we have our special online monthly meeting, Nursing Beyond Infancy, for those giving their milk to 9+ month olds. We plan to meet from 7.30 pm til 9 pm. We send the Zoom link out that afternoon to those who request it. To receive the link, please email [email protected] and send the age of your baby/toddler. This online meet-up is a chance for mums at this later stage to explore some relevant topics a bit further, meet others with similar aged nurslings and build their tribe.

Today the spotlight is on mental health and we want to talk about the importance of being ‘heard’. Your decisions about your and your baby’s health matter. If you want to breastfeed your child, then you deserve the very best support possible in making that happen.

To repeat what we said a few days ago at the end of National Breastfeeding Week; Your voice matters. You deserve all of the information. You deserve patience. You deserve respect.

When we give respect and patience, we give space, we give you the confidence to know that you can do this.

One of the biggest parts of being a La Leche League Leader is knowing how to listen, how to hold space.

At La Leche League of Ireland, we Listen with a capital L.

Our Dungannon Breastfeeding support group meets on Friday 9th October in the library from 11am-1pm.

We are a very friendly, welcoming group and there will be tea/coffee, maybe even a bit of cake to celebrate National Breastfeeding Week. 🎂

'Rhythm and Rhyme' is on just before at 10.30am, so call up afterwards if you are breastfeeding or pregnant and wanting to know more and meet your local breastfeeding counsellor (LLL Leader).
