Connex Care and Support We provide one-to-one support and group activities to support disabled children and adults We now support Adults up to the age of 55 years.

Aspire Disability Support Services have been supporting children and young people with disabilities for more than 15 years. We support individuals with a variety of disabilities and additional needs from mild needs to severe/complex needs. This support can be in the home or even out in the community. Our service is a project run by the Voluntary and Community Services Peaks and Dales and our offic

e is based in Buxton, Derbyshire. We cover support in the High Peak, Derbyshire Dales and Chesterfield area primarily and we also have a service in Tameside. We can provide support in other areas depending on funding.

🌟 What a fantastic morning we had at our Coffee Morning today as part of Learning Disability Week! 🌟

There were lots of activities for everyone to enjoy, including crafts, board games, a reading corner, and much more. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, have fun, and learn more about learning disabilities and the importance of inclusion in our community.

Of course, no coffee morning would be complete without plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits, and cake! 🍰☕🍪

A special thank you to Village View Farm for kindly providing a delicious lemon drizzle cake, which was enjoyed by everyone.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the morning such a success. We look forward to seeing you all again soon! 💙

To celebrate Learning Disability Week, we're opening the doors of our new Day Centre at the Scout Hut this morning and would love to see you there!

Katy is getting more and more excited by the day as she counts down to her upcoming holiday in Scarborough! 🌊🏖️

As if a seaside break wasn't exciting enough, Katy is also looking forward to seeing the legendary Tom Jones live in concert! 🎤✨ It's safe to say the anticipation is growing, and she can't wait to make some wonderful memories.

This Learning Disability Week, we're celebrating the unique talents, achievements, and contributions of the incredible people we support. 🎉

Everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard, valued, included, and empowered to live the life they choose. By promoting understanding, breaking down barriers, and encouraging inclusion, we can help create communities where everyone feels they belong. 🤝💙

Just look at some of the amazing achievements we've been celebrating recently! 🌟 The people we support continue to inspire us every day through their determination, confidence, and willingness to try new things.

From learning to ride a horse 🐴, volunteering in the community 🤝, creating wonderful arts and crafts 🎨, enjoying dance sessions 💃, gaining hands-on farming experience 🚜, exploring the outdoors on walks 🌳, and so much more, every achievement is worth celebrating.

A huge well done to Dennis, who has completed his beautiful planter, and what a fantastic job he has done! 🌟 The finished result looks absolutely amazing and is something he can be very proud of. 👏😊

Gardening offers so many benefits, from improving physical health and mobility to supporting mental wellbeing, reducing stress, and providing a wonderful sense of achievement. 🌱💚 It also encourages creativity, independence, and connection with nature.

💜 Learning Disability Week 2026 💜

Today marks the start of Learning Disability Week, a time to celebrate, raise awareness and recognise the incredible contributions, talents and achievements of people with learning disabilities.

At our organisation, we are proud to support both children and adults through our Home Care, Supported Living, Community Support and Day Centre services. Every day we see people achieving their goals, building confidence, developing independence and living fulfilling lives.

This year's theme, **"Do You See Me?"**, encourages us all to look beyond labels and recognise each person for who they are—their strengths, aspirations, talents and individuality.

Throughout this week, we'll be sharing stories, achievements and special moments from across our services as we celebrate the amazing people we support.

☕ **Join Us for a Coffee Morning!** ☕

To celebrate Learning Disability Week, we are hosting a coffee morning on **Wednesday 17th June from 10:00am - 12:00pm** at **Chapel Scout Hut, our new Day Centre**.

We would love for members of the community, families, friends and professionals to come along, enjoy a cuppa, meet our team, and learn more about the services we provide. Everyone is welcome!

Let's work together to create communities where everyone feels valued, included, respected and heard. 💜

🐴😊 Nikita had big smiles for Dime on Friday! 😊🐴

Nikita thoroughly enjoyed her horse-riding lesson and loved spending time with the lovely Dime. As you can see from the photos, there were plenty of smiles all around!

Horse riding is a fantastic activity that helps build confidence, develop new skills, and create special connections with these amazing animals. It was wonderful to see Nikita having such a great time and enjoying every moment of her lesson.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making experiences like this possible. ❤️

🚂✨ Emily and Anna had a lovely day out at Peak Rail last weekend! ✨🚂

They enjoyed a wonderful trip on the heritage railway, taking in the beautiful scenery and spending quality time together. Days out like these provide great opportunities to make memories, enjoy new experiences, and have lots of fun along the way.

It looks like they had a fantastic time and plenty of smiles throughout the day! 😊

As our day centre continues to grow and receive more referrals, we're looking for donations of activities and resources to help ensure everyone has something enjoyable to take part in.

We would be very grateful for any donations of:

🎵 Musical instruments
🎨 Craft supplies and materials
🧩 Board games, card games, puzzles and activity packs
🧱 LEGO and other construction toys
📚 Books and magazines
🎲 Sensory items and fidget toys
🎯 Activity sets, hobby kits and other engaging resources
😊 Any other activities suitable for adults attending a day centre

If you have any unwanted items in good condition that are no longer being used, please consider donating them. As our numbers continue to grow, extra resources will help us provide a wider range of activities for everyone to enjoy.

Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference and is greatly appreciated.
