Day 24: Our final window to be lit, over at St Mary's in Chinley "Love came down at Christmas" ❤️

Our Nativity journey through the village via lit up windows and carols, comes to an end, but the story is only beginning: leaving behind the darkness and walking in the light 💫

Day 22: "a manger full of hay" In the Bleak Mid Winter

Great appearance from a four legged friend!

The carol reflects the harsh conditions a child can be born in, the bleakness a King was born in. Another nod to meekness and humbleness.

Day 21: Away in a Manger

This carol highlights the point that this holy and significant baby is born in the humblest of places. How many babies are being born right now in places of discomfort and cold, and fear from their parents who have little place to call home and safety? War still tears us apart, the true message of the Nativity still calls us to make peace and love all.

Our window tonight helping us reflect and remember ♥️

Day 20: "On Mary's lap is sleeping" 'Wha Child is This'

Swaddling clothes for baby Jesus. How calm and comforting is this window? Beautiful. Nothing more pure than a new born. This mother and child iconic image brings much hope.

Day 19: "when peace shall over all the earth" 'It came Upon the Midnight clear'

Beautiful representation of this lovely carol 🕊️ Peace at Advet does not only represent the abscene of conflict, but also offers an invitation to a deep inner rest and wholeness away from the chaotic nature that modern day Christmas has become.

Day 17: "in ancient times did give the law in cloud and majesty and in awe" Oh Come Emmanuel

Taking things back to the Hebrew beginnings with "Emmanuel" meaning 'God with us'
A carol about prophecy and ancient times but also a message of hope and change

Day 16: "In that poor lowly stable, with the oven standing by" Once In Royal David's City 🐄 a stunning window design

The contrast of humble beginnings with that of a new born king 👑 meekness yet true love, equality and leadership for all. Imagine that world! 🕊️

Day 15: "Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne" 👑

Beautiful display at Brierley Green church. A poignant reminder of how the story of the nativity is the beginnings of a journey down a road where a heavy burden lays on this king's head, a life of many trials and tribulations, who carries the pain and suffering which many carry in their own lives. A relatable king and a friend full of love.
