‼️ WE ARE CLOSED ‼️

Unfortunately we are now closed for intakes until further notice due to our financial situation. We need to build our funds back up before we can take any more animals in and just concentrate on the ones already in our care. This is not a position we wanted to be in but we have to be sensible.

🐹🫐 Little steps forward for Ernie! ❤️

Our lovely Ernie is slowly beginning to build his confidence and learn that humans aren't so scary after all. 🥰

He's still very timid at times and can be quite unsure of human presence, but we're taking things at his pace, allowing him to build trust in his own time, without rushing or pushing him beyond his comfort zone.

Here he is enjoying a tasty blueberry while accepting a few gentle strokes. 🫐❤️

Trust takes time, and every little step forward is worth celebrating. Well done, Ernie! 🐹💕

Did you know guinea pigs can suffer from dental disease and it isn't always as obvious as overgrown front teeth?

Guinea pigs' teeth grow continuously, so keeping an eye on their dental health is critical.

Changes like those below can all be signs that something isn't right:
• Eating less or being reluctant to eat
• Dropping food
• Difficulty chewing
• Drooling or a wet chin
• Weight loss
• Suddenly becoming picky with food

Regular health checks with a guinea-pig-savvy vet can help spot problems early - and remember, the front teeth are only part of the picture. Some dental problems involve the cheek teeth and aren't something you can properly assess just by looking at your guinea pig at home.

✨We would recommend 6 monthly vet checks or more regular if you notice a problem!✨
