An honour to speak at this event with Joanne. She’s living proof that disability does not mean lack of ability! Beautiful human!

Really honoured to have Building Buddies and Joanne Sansome speak at our event Monday night. Sharing their vast experience and knowledge. It really struck me in such a powerful way that when you have the right support how much our young people with disabilities not only achieve but can experience in order to have a fulfilling life. A life where their needs are identified and met. Both our speakers are such advocates for young people with additional needs and our event was one I will remember for a long time. We had real people, real experiences, real need. Thank you ladies for the difference you make and the drive you have to help others. Let’s not forget that in order for services and provision to continue. We need legislation! Now not later! In my other role, as Co- director for the Community for Behaviour Analysis, I want to raise awareness about the effectiveness and compassion of the science of behaviour analysis. I got the opportunity to do that yesterday, with some of our members. I am proud to say, we “changed a mind” so I will continue to try!
