📣 HAVE YOUR SAY!

There is one week left to share your thoughts on the future of Bedford Borough Libraries and we are urging everyone to get involved.

✨ Libraries play an important role in supporting reading, learning, digital inclusion, health and wellbeing, creativity and community life. Free, welcoming and safe spaces like these are essential for families and children in the local community and we want to do what we can to allow this to continue.

Through this consultation, the council want to understand how its residents, library users and stakeholders think library services should develop in the future.

🔔 Yes! Indeed it is that time of year already and FACES are getting festive! 🎄🎅

Today marks the start of our 2026 Christmas Gift Appeal! ❤️

We are, once again, opening our doors for donations of new and unopened toys, books and games to be gifted to children and young people within our local community who otherwise may not have anything under their Christmas tree this year.

The question is...Can you help us?! 🙏

💫 We are on a mission to make this Christmas as magical as possible for vulnerable families within our local community. We simply cannot do this without YOU! ✨

We are asking for gifts to be dropped to us during office hours between now and Friday 4th December.

Next week! Don't forget our dads support group next Tuesday evening. We want to reach as many dads and other male-parent figures as possible. The group is FREE and a safe space to connect with other parents in a welcoming and friendly setting.

📣 Being Dad is BACK! 💥

Now on a Tuesday, our monthly dads support group is returning! The next date is set for Tuesday 20th October.

📅 Every 3rd Tuesday of each month
⏰ 5:30 - 7pm

The group is relaxed, friendly and welcoming. An opportunity for dads and other male-parent carers to come together, share their experiences of fatherhood and offer support to one another.

It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and gain advice from our experienced Dads@Faces support practitioner and volunteers.

The group is free to join and open for anyone within Bedford Borough. No prior referral or identified need is required to attend.

Refreshments and a safe space are guaranteed! C’mon dads…Let the discussion begin! 💥

This week's Partnership Tuesday drop in at our Warm Space will be hosted by LEAP - Local Energy Advice Partnership!

LEAP helps to support anyone who is at risk of going into fuel poverty. Their service is free for all local residents and open to all types of households - homeowners, private renters and social housing tenants.

Their highly trained energy efficiency advisors provide guidance and support that is specific to each individual's energy needs!

Today is World Mental Health Day! 🧠❤️🌍

This year's theme from the Mental Health Foundation is 'Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change'.

We completely agree. True progress starts with listening. When we hear real, lived experiences of mental illness (and learn how people navigate those challenges) it breaks down barriers and changes lives.

Providing a safe space to talk openly is at the heart of everything we do across our support projects. Mental health affects us all, and we are passionate about giving families the tools and confidence to champion their own wellbeing.
