Our crew regularly brings patients into the hospital and hand them over to their NHS colleagues, as you'll see in this series following real patients and the teams caring for them in the Emergency Department.

Keep an eye out for our orange flight suits and maybe even our green and blue helicopter!

Ever wondered what it takes to be an air ambulance Pilot? 🤔🚁

Our Pilots must have a minimum of 2,000 hours flying experience, hold a Commercial or Air Transport Pilot’s Licence (Helicopter), an Instrument Rating, Class 1 Medical, EC135 type rating and be specifically trained and checked for Helicopter Emergency Medical Service operations.

It's a highly skilled role, with our Pilots responsible for safely getting our Critical Care Team to those who need them, often landing in challenging locations and conditions. 🚁

Did you know that our helicopter can safely land on slopes of up to 12 degrees nose up? 🚁
