Cancer Care & Haematology Fund

Cancer Care & Haematology Fund CCHF is a charity supporting exceptional NHS cancer treatment in Buckinghamshire

The Cancer Care and Haematology Fund (CCHF) was established in 1990 to raise money to fund the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The unit is a stand-alone facility designed to provide a wide range of outpatient and day-case treatments for patients with cancer and also for patients with non malignant blood problems such as clotting and bleeding disorders, many forms of

anaemia, haemoglobinopathies and immune problems. The charity now continues to raise money to support the cancer and haematology services throughout Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust to supplement its day to day funding by the NHS and maintain it at the forefront of good care and innovation and to plan for growth in the future.

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is inviting patients, families and members of the public to recognise outstanding care by nominating an individual or team for the People’s Award for Excellence in Healthcare as part of the BHT Awards 2026.

This special award celebrates those who have gone above and beyond to deliver truly compassionate, patient-centred care over the past year.

Whether someone showed kindness during a difficult time, supported your family, or made your experience better in any way, we want to hear your story.

What makes this award unique is that it can only be nominated by patients, carers, families, friends, visitors or members of the public – giving you the chance to recognise the colleagues who made a real impact on your care.

🗓️ Nominations close at 8am on Wednesday 17 June 2026

The People’s Award gives patients and families the chance to recognise those who made a real difference to their experience. I would encourage anyone who has received exceptional care to share their story and help us celebrate our colleagues.”
