Congratulations to Dez Kay who has received a long service certificate from Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust marking 50 years of volunteering, 44 of these at Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio. Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is inviting patients, families and members of the public to recognise outstanding care by nominating an individual or team for the People’s Award for Excellence in Healthcare as part of the BHT Awards 2026.

This special award celebrates those who have gone above and beyond to deliver truly compassionate, patient-centred care over the past year.

Whether someone showed kindness during a difficult time, supported your family, or made your experience better in any way, we want to hear your story.

What makes this award unique is that it can only be nominated by patients, carers, families, friends, visitors or members of the public – giving you the chance to recognise the colleagues who made a real impact on your care.
