We are sad to announce that today we have ceased the campaign to buy the George and Dragon Pub & Coffee Shop for the community as all of our offers have been rejected and it is no longer on the market.

Throughout the campaign the support and enthusiasm of the Quainton Community and others has been fantastic and it has been a privilege to work on behalf of so many generous people clearly committed to village life.

Thank you so much for your support and sorry that we couldn't complete what we set out to achieve.

We are SUPER EXCITED to say that the Community share issue has been a huge success and we have passed the required values to release the Government Grant and for the share offer to be deemed a success!!!

We are now able to move on to the next stage of making an offer to buy the George and Dragon Pub & Coffee shop so we can move it into community ownership.

Many, many thanks to all those who supported this share issue - you will be part of a really exciting future for the George and Dragon.

We are now into the final few hours of the George and Dragon share issue which closes at midnight tonight.

Over the last week we have made significant progress towards the £275,000 target of share sales and donations that we need to reach to trigger the release of the allocated Government Grant - which is Fantastic news!

BUT - we aren't there yet and we need a final push to make sure we don't loose the money from the government.

We are holding a Quiz night at the George and Dragon on Sunday evening 16th July at 7pm to coincide with the close of the Share offer.

£2 per person entry fee and a Raffle with Mystery prizes.
