The Rotary Club are doing such an amazing job promoting and planting Peace Poles…..
🌍 International Day of Peace – 21 September 2026 🕊️
A District Call to Action for Every Rotary Club with a Peace Pole
The United Nations Secretary-General has released this year’s International Day of Peace message, a reminder that everyone, everywhere can contribute to peace. 🌏💙
🤝 A kind word.
👂 A moment of listening.
💡 A step toward understanding.
🕊️ One small step for peace, every day.
Clubs may wish to invite someone to read the UN message aloud during their Peace Pole gathering or club meeting.

Across Rotary District 9510, Peace Poles stand in schools, parks, gardens, community centres, and homes. 🌳🏫🏡 They are visible commitments to hope, unity, and peacebuilding from the ground up.
📢 This is your call to action.
Between now and 21 September, and especially on the day, we invite every Rotary Club with a Peace Pole to:
✨ Host a gathering, ceremony, or community moment at your Peace Pole
🤝 Invite your local partners, schools, councils, and neighbours
🌟 Celebrate those building peace in your community
📱 Share your event on social media so we can amplify your leadership
Your event can be simple or creative:
🕊️ A reading of May Peace Prevail on Earth
🎨 A children’s art activity
🌏 A multicultural moment of reflection
🚶♀️🚶♂️ A peace walk ending at your pole
🎤 A short ceremony with your club and community
💙 A quiet moment of unity
Rotarians are people of action, and people of peace. 🌍🕊️
Let’s make 21 September 2026 a day where every Peace Pole in District 9510 becomes a beacon of hope, friendship, and understanding. ✨
🕊️ Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day 🌏💙
