The rain stayed off for our painting session in The Japanese Garden at Cowden ☀️

Thank you to everyone who attended and created such stunning sketches and paintings, to the Japanese Garden for hosting us, and to all the kind members of the public who stopped to chat about the artworks being produced.

Opening this weekend 👇 featuring work by several Reachout members 🌟🌟🌟

We’re excited to announce an upcoming Art Exhibition at Elmbank Mill, Menstrie, showcasing artwork by artists from across the Forth Valley 🎨

Join us for the opening night on Saturday 13 June, with the exhibition continuing from 14 – 24 June.

🕚 Open daily, 11am – 4pm
📍 Elmbank Mill, The Charrier, Menstrie FK11 7BU
🎟 Free entry

Alongside the exhibition there will also be pop-up stalls, workshops, and artist talks announced soon.

Steven tried abstract painting for the first time today, adding this vibrant section to our collaborative mural ⬇️😁

As a last minute impromptu decision, Steven chose to "let everything flow" and paint freestyle. After not painting for years, he's rightly proud of stepping out of his comfort zone and giving it a go!

Supported by local artist Bobby, the mural combines colourful contributions from Reachout members, celebrating both individual creativity and shared community spirit.

Well done Steven and thanks for letting us share!

⭐ Carers Week 2026: Building carer friendly communities ⭐

Carers are all around us, supporting family members, friends and neighbours. Many don’t even recognise themselves as Carers and miss out on vital support.

For over 10 years we have worked in partnership with Falkirk & Clackmannanshire Carers Centre, and most recently Stirling Carers Centre to provide creative sessions to adult and young carers.

We'll be at Bannockburn & Eastern Village Community Hub, on Tuesday 9th June 10am - 2pm, sharing artwork made by local carers.

The Leap of Faith by Willow Church ✨

Reachout’s Emerging Artist Willow, has recently showcased ‘A Leap of Faith’ her final piece as part of Emerge, UHI Perth Graduate Showcase 2026. ‘A Leap of Faith’ explores identity, heritage, and self acceptance through a series of symbolic felted creatures. Rooted in deeply personal experiences, the project reflects the challenge of feeling disconnected from personal heritage while still longing for belonging and understanding.
