NHS England is seeking views on how care within All Age Continuing Care (AACC) is currently described, planned and commissioned, and whether a more consistent approach could be helpful.

Beacon has agreed to host the survey on behalf of NHS England in order to reach a wide range of people with an interest in AACC, including people who use services, families, carers, providers and commissioners.

We would like to make it absolutely clear that Beacon CHC has no association, affiliation, or operational link with the organisation referred to in the Government-issued guidance relating to the incident.

Beacon CHC is the trading name of Ethical Legal Services Ltd, an independent social enterprise that provides advice and support in relation to NHS Continuing Healthcare. The incident referenced in the Government guidance concerns Beacon CRM, a different and separate company.

This is a temporary, self-employed contract, working an average of 2 – 4 days per case, minimum of one case per month (subject to availability). It is a home-based role, and the ability to travel long distances to attend client assessments is essential

At Beacon we regularly come into contact with individuals and the families of those living at home and being cared for by someone other than a formal care provider.

Often these people tell us they are unsure as to how to best prepare for the Full Assessment for NHS Continuing Healthcare as they either do not understand or have access to records and other information which may be used to support the evaluation, and because informal carers are often very busy with their caring responsibilities, which can be physically and mentally exhausting.
