ABC wishes to acknowledge the sad passing of Chloe Fisher MBE.
She was a pioneer of all that we stand for in ABC with women centered care and baby led breastfeeding. She started the Oxford Human Milk Bank in 1974.and also the Infant feeding clinic. She was the clinical lead in infant feeding in 1991 until she retired in 1997. However she continued to work as honorary specialist for a further 15 years. She was vice president of the Royal College of Midwives in 1991 and was awarded the MBE for her services to infant care in 1996 She was also an Honorary Fellow of Oxford Brooks University.
She had a tremendous influence on my practise and ABC would not be here today had it not been for her influence and friendship.
May she Rest in Peace.
