This week, the weather is expected to be very hot.

People with a learning disability, autism, and ADHD might not notice when they are getting too hot or need a break.

They might not know they are overheating until they feel unwell.

We have made an easy read to help you stay safe and comfortable in the heat. It has ways to stay cool, how to protect yourself from the sun and other helpful tips for hot weather.

Please take a look and share with others who might find it useful. Please also check in on people who may need extra support during the hot weather.

Mencap's theme for this year's learning disability week is "Do you see me?" which is all about people with a learning disability being seen, heard and valued in all aspects of life – especially at work.

It is important to share their video on communication: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyV1v-nib38

There is still time to complete the ADULT SOCIAL CARE CONTRIBUTION POLICY.

Just a reminder to all family carers whose relative is in receipt of adult social care, uses transport or tele care services to fill out the Adult Social Care Contributions Policy if you haven't already done so.

If the consultation goes through, your relative's care contribution will go up.

The survey closes on the 21st June and they have only had 300 online responses so far so please make your views known.

Changes to charges for some Adult Social Care Services We are asking for your views on some suggested changes to charges for some statutory and non‑statutory Adult Social Care services. No decisions have been made yet. This is a consultation, and we want to hear what
