We are grateful to have received £2,500 from The Trades Widows' Fund Charity towards our work supporting families and individuals who access our Torry Food Bank each week.
For many people in the community, food support is also about having somewhere to turn when things are difficult. It is about knowing that, even in times of hardship, they are not facing it alone.
Through this funding, we are able to reach more people who are experiencing food poverty and needing extra support.
It helps us keep showing up for households who rely on the Food Bank as part of their weekly support.
This support is also helping us provide our community breakfast, where families and individuals can come in, have a bacon roll and a warm cup of tea, and spend time together.
These moments create space for people to talk, build friendships, feel less alone, and receive signposting to other support available in the community.
We are especially grateful that the The Trades Widows' Fund Charity continues to support local community groups and organisations working with people facing hardship.
