Aberdeen Cyrenians meets the basic needs of its service users which includes water, shelter, food, clothing and toiletries. As well as their basic needs we look at identyifying the underlying issues to their homelessness and support them with these issues. We’re super grateful to Deloitte UK for helping us launch Harvest 2026 through its ongoing Social Impact partnership with Aberdeen Cyrenians. 💛

Deloitte colleagues in Aberdeen have been collecting donations and volunteering their time to support local people facing financial hardship across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Hazel Gray, Senior Partner at Deloitte, said:

“The Harvest Appeal is a great example of organisations and communities coming together to support local people. Our colleagues in Aberdeen have been collecting donations and volunteering their time to help the campaign, demonstrating the collective impact that can be achieved when businesses work alongside community organisations.”

Thank you to Deloitte colleagues for helping make a difference this Harvest season.

Could your workplace, school, faith group or community organisation help Aberdeen Cyrenians this Harvest? 🍎

Last year, 44 local collections provided more than £6,127 worth of food and essentials for people facing hardship. This year, support is needed more than ever as rising household costs put increasing pressure on families and individuals across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

You can help by setting up a collection point and gathering essential items such as:

• Tinned meat, fish, vegetables, pulses and fruit
• Pasta or curry sauce
• Instant meals
• UHT milk
• Shower gel and shampoo

Collections should be delivered by the end of November. Aberdeen Cyrenians can provide posters, templates and other resources to help you get started, and team volunteering opportunities are also available.

Every donation offers practical help with dignity, and can be the first step towards wider support with finances, housing, health and employability.

🍂 Our Harvest Appeal is back.

Harvest has always been a celebration of food and community. Each autumn we ask our community to come together to support people experiencing hunger, hardship and homelessness over the winter months.

As the cold approaches, many people are worried about how they'll afford food or keep their homes warm.

There are many ways you can help by getting involved this Harvest. You could:

• Donate food
• Host a collection
• Volunteer your time
• Help spread the word

Every contribution helps us support people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire this winter.
