Cynon Valley PALS had a wonderful time at our exclusive visit to Colliers Adventure Farm tonight. We enjoyed everything the farm has to offer, from meeting the animals and exploring the play areas to spending time with friends and family.

The visit gave our families the opportunity to have fun and create lasting memories in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Thank you to Colliers Adventure Farm for welcoming us.

Come and join our lovely ALN session, with limited numbers, calm music and soft lighting, as well as our sensory items and lights.

During this session, Meinir Evans from Endeavour Law will be available to chat with parent & carers about issues that affect them and their families, helping to make important information available at an early stage.

Topics may include:

• Protecting your estate and ensuring appropriate arrangements are in place if a child or adult child may not have the capacity to manage financial or property matters independently.

• The importance of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) and ensuring trusted people have the authority to act on your behalf if you are unable to do so.

• Estate planning options that can help families avoid unnecessary legal complications and support long-term financial security.

• The transition from child to adult services, including care fees and the challenges that can arise when a young person becomes legally recognised as an adult but still relies on parental advocacy and support.

• Planning for the future, including considering who would make decisions and act in a child's best interests should parents no longer be able to do so.

This is an opportunity to ask questions, discuss individual circumstances and gain a better understanding of the options available.

Thank you so much to David John Brockwell and Aberdare Town FC Under 15s for your very kind donation from your recent fundraiser. The team completed the Dragon's Back Loop, an 11.9km hike and chose to donate some of the money raised to Cynon Valley PALS.

We are so grateful for your donation which we will be using to to take our children to Caswell Bay for accessible surfing. Thank you for you continued support which is very much appreciated.

31 years of Cynon Valley PALS

Today we celebrate a very special milestone as Cynon Valley PALS celebrates our 31st birthday.

For over three decades, we have been bringing people together, building friendships, creating opportunities, and supporting our community. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our members, families, volunteers, and supporters, past and present.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the last 31 years. We are proud of everything we have accomplished together and excited for what the future holds.

Here's to 31 years of friendship, inclusion, and community and many more to come.

Dragons Den

We had a great evening at our monthly exclusive soft play session at Dragons Den Soft Play tonight.

This was a special event to mark 31 years of Cynon Valley PALS. The play centre was ours to enjoy, with a relaxed atmosphere that gave everyone the chance to explore, play, socialise, and have fun at their own pace.

This week here at Role Play Lane we have Lucy from Sense joining us! Lucy specialises in creating a nurturing, accessible and developmentally rich play opportunities for children with complex needs!

This session will be filled with meaningful, inclusive and joyful experiences ensuring that families feel supported, welcomed and empowered to explore new ways of playing and communicating together!
