Although there is still a considerable amount of work ahead, each Monday brings another area cleared, another structure removed and another step towards creating a permanent community resource for Maerdy.

Once developed, the garden will provide much more than growing space. The aim is for it to become a place where people can learn new practical skills, take part in environmental activities, improve confidence, meet other people and benefit from spending time outdoors.

Businesses interested in supporting the development of the Maerdy Community Garden can contact the team at [email protected].
