More Than Food: Stories of Hope & Community.

We are busily preparing for the food bank we are running today, and during Hunger Action Month, we’re continuing to share the people who help make our work possible through our More Than Food: Stories of Hope & Community campaign. 💙

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Peter, one of our Whitby Sunrise Rotary Club delivery drivers!

Peter has been delivering food for St. Andrew’s Community Food Bank every Friday for over a year and a half and is one of our most consistent and dependable drivers.

Each week, Peter helps make sure that food reaches individuals and families who are unable to come to the food bank in person. His commitment and kindness are a wonderful example of what Hunger Action Month is all about — people taking action to help neighbours in their community.

📣 We are excited to announce our upcoming social media series, More Than Food: Stories of Hope & Community, launching this September!

Throughout Hunger Action Month, we’ll share meaningful conversations with our clients, volunteers, donors, community partners and the local farm that receives our surplus food for animal feed and composting.

These stories will highlight the people, partnerships and acts of kindness that make St. Andrew’s Community Food Bank about so much more than food. 💚

Follow along for a new story every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout September. We can’t wait to share them with you!

We are so grateful for the wonderful donation of fresh vegetables straight from the garden for our clients at St. Andrew’s Community Food Bank.

Fresh produce is always such a welcome addition, and your generosity helps us provide healthy, nutritious options to the families we serve. 💚

Ever wanted to try your hand at puppeteering? Ron B**r is holding auditions for the Foo Dee Puppet Troupe, and this is your chance to join the fun!

🎬 Audition Dates at the Station Gallery:
Wednesday, August 26 | 7:00–8:00 PM
Saturday, August 29 | 1:00–2:00 PM

Successful puppeteers will have the opportunity to perform with Foo Dee, Jasper and Neeka at the upcoming Food Bank Acoustic Hour performances:
