Waterloo Wayside Waterloo Wayside supports and builds community by providing safe places and opportunities to share and connect.

The Waterloo Wayside Centre is a group of people focused on creating and supporting community where it would otherwise not exist. Born out of our deep desire to help one another, the Waterloo Wayside Centre serves the youth, the senior population, and the marginalized in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Hosted at Emmanuel United Church, located in the heart of Uptown Waterloo, the centre offers a vari

ety of programs to help the bodies, hearts and minds of those that need it the most. Through partnerships with other community-based organizations and a dedicated team of volunteers, the Waterloo Wayside Centre is able to host and foster grass-roots programs that address real needs within the community. As a testimony to the impact of the centre and the restorative nature of its programs, many of our volunteers joined our ranks after starting off as clients.

This years Waterloo State of the City was one of our most successful events ever. We were so pleased to present the recipient with a cheque yesterday in the amount of $30098.77
These funds will go a long way to helping those in our community in need.

Wayside was honoured to join the City of Waterloo's State of the City Event hosted by Rotary Waterloo and City of Waterloo

This year, Eric Oliver was the recipient of the Paul Harris fellowship award which honours individuals who exemplify Rotary's motto of Service Above Self 💚 The event raised over $24,000 towards Wayside and an additional $5,000 to Rotary's Community Grant Fund. The table displays, of canned goods, are being distributed during our Food Bag program!

We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support from Mayor Dorothy McCabe and numerous other member and organizations of the Waterloo community, that helps us sustain our programs and build integrated communities 💙

Our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was a meaningful celebration of the people who make our work possible. From longtime volunteers to those just getting involved, your compassion and dedication continue to make a lasting impact.

It was a pleasure to reconnect, share a meal, and reflect on all we've accomplished together. We are truly grateful for each of you and proud to be a part of such a caring and committed community

We're currently looking for can openers, M/L disposable gloves, and a replacement bowl and lid for a Breville food processor. These items will directly support our Bridgeport Cafe program 💚💙
