Building An Inclusive Tech Industry

In the spring of 2017, Sarah Juma brought together a team to launch Innovate Inclusion, a not-for-profit organization that advocates for the success of underrepresented communities in technology and entrepreneurship.

Sarah experienced the inclusion barrier as a Black woman navigating the entrepreneurial landscape while developing her first tech startup. During this journey, she developed tools and strategies to support her advancement.

Through conversation with other underrepresented entrepreneurs, she realized that they had lived through similar experiences. There was a need to develop an accessible network and safe, inclusive spaces to support them.
