Winter Campfire Opening

To all my brave scouts who traveled near and far,
Braving treacherous blizzards in your parents car.
To all my scouts who braved the temperature going 20 below,
And braving kybos in the snow,

Make no mistake, you are true Olympians.

And this moment here, arm in arm with our fellow warriors is the medal for the chosen.
And as the dusk falls and our faces light up,
I now declare this campfire open.

This week we played "pass the knife" but of course we couldn't use a real knife. Our game got harder and harder until we got to no hands and no arms.
We also started planning our year (after the youth told us what they want to do) and our summer hiking trip!
Next week we have an urban hike to get ice cream:)
